La Bessannaise was born thanks to an associative project of local development Bessans village, after the success of Olympic Games in 1968, which created a momentum for the practice of Nordic skiing. In order to enhance our upper valley, the local natural and cultural heritage, La Bessannaise guarantees stays full of discoveries through mountain activities.
Offering from the outset the practice of Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, it was a few years later that La Bessannaise integrated hiking into its programs.
Since the first season and until today, we talk about an all-inclusive stay. It is, with more than 50 years of experience in this concept, an undeniable strength of the organization which masters from a to z the components of accommodation, catering, mountain supervision, sports equipment, transport, entertainement, etc ...
If the holiday centre was built with only 14 rooms to host the first interns. Then, with different optimization steps, successive extension and renovation, we are now a complete and qualified Holiday village with different level of comfort according to needs and budgets.
Over the years, activities have also grown by offering alongside Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking programs, themed stays that combine dance, art, culture and wellness.
